Gymnastics Season One thing i choose to talk about is my gymnastics season. I do gymnastics all year round but only in the winter for the high school. We have had one meet so far because the first one got cancelled due to a snow storm. I only competed bars in the first meet because of my knee surgery i was not not ready to compete other events yet. I got the second highest score on bars in that meet. We have another meet this Saturday and it is a home meet so we will be used to the equipment. I got first on bars at the meet on Saturday. We had lot's of meet and i usually got first or second on bars. Then at EAC'S i got first which mad me an EAC allstar for Gymnastics. I also made mit to states for bars where sadly I fell and didnt place. Gymnastics season was a lot of fun and can't wait for next season!
Spanish One my classes that I take is level 1 Spanish. On November 7 we did a worksheet on singular and plural words because we had a sub. On November 9 we presented our in the school skits. My group was Sydney and Rory and i think we did very well on this presentation. It was a fun skit to preform. I was the new girl in the school and Sydney introduced me to Rory and we talked about classes. This Friday, we have to put on a fashion show. We have to wear a planned outfit, walk around the class to music, stop and pose while someone explains what you are wearing in Spanish. We just did a fashion show. We had a partner and we had to talk in Spanish about what our partner was wearing as they walked around the class to music. My partner and I are gymnasts so we walked "the runway" on our hands to my floor music. Our last chapter of the year was on sports. We then had our speaking final and now our final is coming up! This year went by so fast and can't wait to learn more next year in Spanish.

Ashley Macek Technology has definitely advanced over the years. In technology years, 50 is absolutely ancient. Fifty years ago, there were no personal computers, we’d not yet been to the moon, people still read books and the Internet was not yet invented. I always fight with my brothers about who gets the TV remote not realizing they didn’t even have TV remotes years ago. People actually had to get up and change the channel themselves. Believe it or not, not that long ago people didn’t even have cell phones. Television was in black and white around 50 years ago. Inventors decided to improve television because they realized that basically every family was buying a television set and watching for a good amount of time. Lots of technology was created over the past 50 years. The first credit card was created in 1950. Super glue and the first video tape recorder were invented. In 1953, radial tires were created. In 1968 the first computer mouse was made along with the first computer with integrated circuits. The floppy disk was invented in 1970. Finally in 1979, cell phones were invented. This was a major invention. Cell phones made people's life a lot easier. This is because people could stay in touch with others even while they aren't home. This is important because for example you could get hurt going for a run o bike ride and you need to reach someone for help. Also cellphones do so much more than just text and call. You can take pictures with your phone which is very helpful especially with the fact of not carrying a camera and a phone. They can also help you with directions now a day. You don’t even need a GPS anymore if you have your phone with you. You can access the internet too, which is amazing. In the mid-20th century, the majority of people did not have checking accounts and none of them had bank-issued credit cards. Those in the lower and middle economic classes mostly relied upon cash to buy goods and pay bills. If funds needed to be sent long distances, Western Union provided facilities for the purchase of money orders that were communicated via telegraph and could be retrieved by the payee in another town or country. But the process of consumer banking was tailored for the needs of people who lived most if not all of their lives in the same town. Banking activities were mostly limited to home and car loans and the average customer was well known by the banking staff. Throughout most of the country, historic bank processes continued to serve well because most banks were single-office businesses, catering to the needs of a stable and known customer base. Cars have definitely improved over the past fifty years as well. Cars were obviously invented to make going places faster and easier. The early history of the automobile can be divided into a number of eras, based on the prevalent means of propulsion. Later periods were defined by trends in exterior styling, size, and utility preferences. In 1768, the first steam powered automobile capable of human transportation was built by Nicolas-Joseph. In 1807, François Isaac designed the first car powered by an internal combustion engine fueled by hydrogen. In 1886, the first gasoline powered automobile, the Benz, was invented by Karl Benz. This is also considered to be the first "production" vehicle as Benz made several other identical copies. The early 1960s an appearance as the 1961 Indianapolis 500's pace car had been featured in the inaugural parade of President Kennedy. This was the third generation of Ford Thunderbirds, which brought a new sleeker design to the previous, sales record breaking 1960 model. The final year in this generation was 1963, which while not all that changed from the 1962 model, was a great looking car with all the newest features of the day, like power steering, power brakes, bucket seats and available air conditioning and power windows. Television is an invention that has improved a lot over the years. Television was not invented by a single inventor. Rather it was through the efforts of many people working together and alone over the years that contributed to the evolution of television. German inventor Paul Nipkow developed a rotating-disc technology to transmit pictures over wire in 1884 called the Nipkow disk. Nipkow is credited with discovering television's scanning principle, in which the light intensities of small portions of an image are successively analyzed and transmitted. In the 1920's, John Logie Baird patented the idea of using arrays of transparent rods to transmit images for television. Baird's 30 line images were the first demonstrations of television by reflected light rather than back-lit silhouettes. John Logie Baird based his technology on Paul Nipkow's scanning disc idea and other later developments in electronics. One of the earliest proposals for a color TV system was filed in 1880. And in 1925, Russian TV pioneer Vladimir Zworykin filed a patent disclosure for an all-electronic color television system. A successful color television system began commercial broadcasting, first authorized by the FCC on December 17, 1953 based on a system invented by RCA. It was in June of 1956, that the TV remote controller first entered the American home. The first TV remote control, called "Lazy Bones," was developed in 1950 by Zenith Electronics Corporation. Printing is another invention that has improved and it continuing to improve. 3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, refers to processes used to create a three-dimensional object in which layers of material are formed under computer control to create an object. Objects can be of almost any shape or geometry and are produced using digital model data from a 3D model or another electronic data source such as an Additive Manufacturing File. Thus, unlike material removed from a stock in the conventional machining process, 3D printing or AM builds a three-dimensional object from computer-aided design model or AMF file by successively adding material layer by layer. This is how technology has improved over the years. It is amazing how much technology has improved and crazy how little technology there was not too long ago.
